Hello, My name is Yuyang Liao 廖雨阳 :)
People called me 小羊 (xiao yang) occasionally because my name yang 阳 have the same pronunciation as lamb 小羊 in Chinese :)
I’m a multi-faceted visual artist currntly living in New York City and focusing on Stop-motion, 2D Animation and Motion Graphics.
After receiving my BFA degree in Visual Communication and Design at the Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, I continued my journey at the School of Visual Arts pursuing a Master’s degree in Computer Arts.
Combining analog and digital techniques, I centers my time-based work in materiality. My stories unfold through layered textures, hand crafted details, and playful designs that spark the imagination.
Now I’m takes my animations into the challenging, unknown field of interactive installation, using a wide array of forms and formats to expand my autobiographical world.
